Fat Loss using Jyotish and Ayurveda
We make loads of efforts to lose weight, and follow every sort of diet and exercises. But many people swear by some diets like Keto, Paleo and such. But what if the stars could offer guidance in your journey to lose weight? This article aims to find connections between the grahas and how to use your horoscope in order to lose weight.
The graha that is considered to be the karaka of Fat is Jupiter.
And the impact on certain grahas on your natal Jupiter causes either weight loss or weight gain. Watery Grahas like Venus or Moon in Lagna or with Jupiter, generally tend to give fat gain tendencies. So does Jupiter in watery Signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces)
Whereas, Dry Grahas like Mars, Saturn and Sun in those placements cause fat loss. Also true for Jupiter being in those graha signs.
Other than that, we can also use some pinpoint remedies for the issue.
There are such fanatics of diets, juices, teas and hacks because it does work for them like a miracle.
But, the world isn’t so that “One shoe size fits all”. Green Tea works great for about 10% of the world population. And for the rest it gives average results. So, what separates these people is the placement of natal Jupiter in their horoscopes. Their Jupiter supports green tea as a weight loss mechanism.
Green Tea is bitter in taste, so being consistent with it helps in increasing the saturnian element in your body.
The retention of fat works in similar ways to retention of emotions. That is, from the water element.
In Ayurveda, it is mentioned that
Just by having a routine ( following the sun) sleeping early, waking up early* don’t eat without having a bath, consume digestives like buttermilk, ajwain, hot water .you can cause fat loss. Not eating Frequently and eating only 1-3 times a day at a set time. (Activation of Saturn)
Mars is jatharAgni (Metabolism)
So, combining Mars and Saturn together can trigger the air element and cause serious fat loss by decreasing the earth element which helps achieve a active metabolism.
So, eating Astringent increases air element ( side of salad with meals, having a coriander/ mint/ only any local herb chutney as a side , Pungent (side of green chili/onion/raddish etc) increases Agni and bitter ( bitter tasting herbs like bhrami, dandelions, bitter greens, bitter gourd) increases ether or space and must be moderately consumed because it is very potent at sweeping of good gut bacteria and it doesn’t discriminate between good fat and bad fat, it just efficiently cuts all the fat that gets in its way, ( remember you need a lot of good fat or HDL cholesterol for joints and grey matter of the brain, so you don’t want to do over board with any of the taste and keep moderate and steady with it, so you retain the good and only cut the bad fat . Like I said, at the beginning of the beginning of the article. Only the dry Grahas cause drying up of Fat from our body excess fat is excess earth element in body, dry Grahas represent air and space and hence act as a fat cutter.
- eating a early dinner and not having breakfast until about 1.5- 2 hours of sunrise, will make you follow a intermittent fasting, a potent detox regimen
And those three flavors are strictly correlated to Sun, Mars and Saturn. And, you will have the best shot of losing weight, whenever one of these grahas is connected to your Jupiter, or Jupiter is in one of these grahas sign in D1 or D9.
Mars = Physical Workout
Saturn = Consistency
So, going for a jog consistently, or sticking to a diet in itself will end up increasing your metabolism.
So weight loss would consider of changing your diet and introducing the following elements
- Drinking Ginger and Lemon. (Sun) first thing in the morning and every time you feel your metabolism needs a kick start(after a heavy meal)
- Following a strict eating routine. (Saturn)
- Eating honey at the end of your meals. (Balances Jupiter)
Check which of the three Grahas (Sun, Mars and Saturn) affects your Jupiter the most. (By either forming a conjunction with it, or Jupiter being in their sign)
And include the food items related to that graha into your diet.
